זוכי פרס משרד התרבות בתחום הכוריאוגרפיה ופרס רוזנבלום לאמנויות הבמה לאמנים מצטיינים
הפער בין האופן שבו מוצגת אהבה בתרבות לבין האופן בו היא נחווית על ידי יחידים הוא הבסיס וההשראה ליצירה החדשה של צמד הכוריאוגרפים יוסי ברג ועודד גרף. היצירה בנויה כסדרה של סיפורים קצרים המחוברים באמצעות גוף אשר מחפש אינטימיות. שלוש דמויות מציגות ביוגרפיה ספק-אמיתית, ספק-מדומיינת ונעות בין נוסטלגיה אישית לבין זיכרונות קולקטיביים, מתחקות אחר מציאות אבודה. הן רוקדות כדי למלא את הפער שבין עולמן הפנימי לעולם החיצוני, ובין מי שהיו לבין מי שהן כיום. העבר מסתובב כרוח רפאים בחלל, לובש ופושט צורות של שירים שרודפים אותך ושל גופים שזיכרון המגע שלהם נטבע בך.
כמו בעבודות קודמות שלהם, גם ביצירה זו, יוסי ברג ועודד גרף ממשיכים לחקור את המהות של מה זה להיות אנושי – לאהוב, להתרגש, להיכשל, לחלום, להתגעגע, להשתייך ולהרגיש זרות. הם מבקשים להציף על פני השטח את מה שחמקמק ובלתי ניתן להגדרה ורק האמנות יכולה לאחוז בקצותיו.
המופע מודולרי ומתאים את עצמו לחללים משתנים. זהו השלב השני של הפרויקט בגרסתו הבימתית, לאחר שהועלה במסגרת התערוכה "יש אור שלעולם אינו כבה" בגלריה רו-ארט, תל אביב.

על היוצרים: יוסי ברג ועודד גרף הם יוצרי מחול שהקימו את להקת המחול הבין-לאומית
Yossi Berg & Oded Graf Dance Theatre בשנת 2005. במשך השנים הם בנו רפרטואר עבודות המתאפיין בפיזיות וירטואוזית, פרובוקטיביות, חריפות ותחכום. לאחר שהופיעו בעבר עם להקות מובילות כמו בת-שבע והתיאטרון הפיזי DV8, הם משלבים בעבודתם מחקר דינמי של תיאטרון, טקסט וקול. פעמים רבות הם מגיבים לתנאים החברתיים והפוליטיים של החיים העכשוויים ומציעים דרכים חדשות להתבונן על מחול ומופע. להקת המחול של ברג וגרף מופיעה בפסטיבלים יוקרתיים וחללי תרבות שונים ברחבי העולם, בין השאר בפסטיבל מונפלייה בצרפת, באמריקן דאנס פסטיבל בארה"ב, בתיאטרון הג'וייס בניו יורק, בפסטיבל סידאנס בקוריאה, בתיאטרון הפלייס בלונדון, במדריד דאנזה בספרד, בפסטיבל המחול בלוזאן בשוויץ, במוזיאון לאמנות מודרנית ברומא ובמוזיאון ישראל בירושלים. הם יצרו עבודות לבתי אופרה וזכו במספר פרסי כוריאוגרפיה. בישראל, הם זוכי פרס משרד התרבות בתחום הכוריאוגרפיה ופרס רוזנבלום לאמנויות הבמה לאמנים מצטיינים.
בנוסף להופעות הלהקה, דגש רב ניתן לפעילות חינוכית של יצירה בקהילה ברחבי הארץ. יוסי ועודד מלמדים ומעבירים סדנאות ומפגשים לאורך השנים בתחומי התנועה, הקומפוזיציה ופיתוח השפה האישית של הדור הצעיר. תיאטרון מחול יוסי ברג ועודד גרף היא עמותה ללא מטרות רווח לקידום אומנות מקורית וייחודית, שעוסקת במאפייני החברה העכשווית, ושפה אומנותית המבטאת יצירתיות ויופי.

The gap between the way love is presented in culture and the way it is experienced by individuals is the basis and inspiration for choreographers Yossi Berg and Oded Graf’s new dance piece. The work is constructed as a series of short stories connected to each other by a body that is in search of intimacy. Three characters perform quasi-real and quasi-imaginary biographies. They oscillate between personal nostalgia and collective memory, they trace a lost reality, and dance to fill the gap between their inner world and the one outside, between who they were and who they are today. The past wanders around the space like a ghost, putting on and taking of the shape of songs that haunt you, and of bodies whose tangible memory has been imprinted on you.
In this new piece, as in their previous works, Yossi Berg and Oded Graf continue their exploration of the essence of what it means to be human - to love, to get excited, to fail, to dream, to long for something, to belong and to be estranged. They would like to surface that which is evasive and undefined, and whose edges only art can touch.
The show is modular and adapts itself to changing spaces.The stage performances are the second phase in a project that started in the framework of the exhibition "There is a Light that Never Goes Out" at RawArt Gallery, Tel Aviv.
Choreographers and Artistic Directors Yossi Berg and Oded Graf started collaborating in 2005, when they founded the international dance companyYossi Berg & Oded Graf Dance Theatre. They have since built a reputation for work that is supremely physical, sometimes provocative, and by turns poignant and witty. Having performed with world-renowned troupes, including Batsheva Dance Company and DV8 Physical Theatre, they mix a masterful physicality with a dynamic research of theatre, text, and voice. Responding to the social and political realities of contemporary life, they offer new ways of looking at dance and exploring performance. Berg and Graf’s company is touring extensively in prestigious festivals and venues around the world: Montpellier Danse France, American Dance Festival, The Joyce Theater NYC, DansensHus Stockholm, SIDance South Korea, The Place Theater London, Lausanne Danse Switzerland, The Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome, Israel Museum in Jerusalem, and JCDN Japan, among others. They have created work for opera houses and won numerous choreography awards. They received Israel's Ministry of Culture Award for Outstanding Choreographers and were awarded the Rosenblum Prize for Artistic Excellence in the Performing Arts.
